The power density (heating power/water contact area) of a fluid heater is approximately 4-10W/cm² (at a water temperature of 25°C). Higher water temperatures reduce heating power.
The higher the dry-burning temperature of a PTC liquid thermostat heater, the greater the heating power it generates. To achieve a relatively low-cost solution, PTC liquid thermostat heaters are generally designed for a dry-burning temperature of 220-280°C. If the dry-burn temperature is required to be lowered, the volume or number of PTC liquid thermostat heaters must be increased accordingly to achieve equivalent power.
